Five things I’d like to see in Opera

Tim has tagged me, so here are my top 5 wishes for future versions of Opera:

1. Automatic update.
2. Synchronization of user data. I’m currently not using Opera’s bookmarks feature because I’m using three different computers on a daily basis, so it’s close to impossible and way too time-consuming to keep bookmarks synced manually. Other things that could/should also be synced include RSS-subscriptions, Notes, Speed Dial, search engines with keywords, and wand passwords (if at all possible in a secure way).
3. Better RSS-integration. Have a look at NewsFire. A similar solution would work perfectly in Opera, where the left column in NewsFire (feeds grouped by category) could be a panel in Opera, and when clicking a feed or category in the panel a page opens with all items for the feed or category you clicked.
4. New icon (hire Jon Hicks!). I stole this from Tim, because I completely agree with his points.
5. More “Macifications”. There are rumors that this is already on the way, can’t wait to see the next major releases!

I’m so slow answering this tag, that “everyone” I could think of tagging has already written this post.

I think YellowIcon also has some pretty nice icons, including a mockup of Jon Hicks\’ Firefox and Thunderbird icons .

Interesting approach and style.\r\n\r\nMaybe one way for Opera to get ideas for a new logo-style is to make a contest of sorts?
