How time flies! It’s been 9 months since I left Opera to move home to Tromsø, and it’s been a very busy time for both me and Marianne. New car, bought an apartment, got a dog… Let’s just say that it’s been quite stressful, and I’m looking forward to getting more structure in the new year, hopefully being able to lower the stress level slightly. My main plan to accomplish this, is to get a MacBook Pro and start working more from home. Anyone who works with development of any type of software knows that motivation and creativity isn’t always present between 0800 and 1600, so it’s going to be perfect for me to be able to work more independently.
I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions, so I don’t have any, but I have had the following goals since I moved back north:
1. Start working out again.
2. Work less hours, and work more efficiently instead.
3. Have more fun.
The last item on that list is something that I’ve recently given more and more thought. After all, we only get one chance at this thing they call life, so why bother spending it being stressed and feeling bad all the time.
