With all software development – large scale such as a browser, or small scale such as the few lines of PHP that powers this blog – proper QA is very important. If I had done even the slightest bit of testing when adding search functionality to my blog a few months ago, I would have noticed that my [...]

Firefox 2 experience
So, I’ve been testing Firefox 2 for about a day now, and I’m back to using Opera.
Fair enough, Firefox (still) renders a lot of sites better than Opera, but to me it’s the whole Opera-package that does it – email, IRC, mousegestures, flipback/-forward (I didn’t realise how much I depended on this until switching to [...]

So I just copied the most recent hourly backup from .snapshot/hourly.0/ and everything was fine again.
If you’re a Dreamhost customer and didn’t [...]
Puppy-class #2
Yesterday was the second puppy-class, and a very successful one. We learned a lot of useful tricks for training Max, and he did a great job throughout the course – as long as there were treats within range…
We haven’t been following this up lately, but Max seems to be a very quick learner. His most [...]
