Last day in Oslo

Today is my last day in Oslo. For quite some time now, I have suffered from a severe case of homesickness, for different reasons. I really wanted to be closer to my family now that my grandfather has been very ill with cancer, and my sister has a beautiful baby that I have only met a few times. It’s the circle of life, I guess, and I really want to take part in it with my family.

Though I will miss all my friends in Oslo, I am also looking forward to meeting old friends up north again. My goal is to travel to Oslo when there are important events happening in the lives of the great Opera-people, like house-warming parties, weddings, etc, and stay in touch with my friends here in Oslo.

What/where/why? Well I hope I answered the “why” above. I am moving to Tromsø to start working as a web-developer for a smallish company that have too many projects to handle on their own. Lots of new challenges, and I’m looking forward to that! I will continue “working” for Opera as a volunteer under NDA, donating some of my spare time into this wonderful browser.

This ends an eventful chapter in my life, and I think I’m moving back home a stronger and more resourceful person. I will definitely use the knowledge I have gained at Opera, and hopefully be able to stay in touch with the great people I have met here who have touched my life in various ways.

Au revoir!
