Today is my first day of christmas holiday, and I woke up after sleeping in, feeling really good. Had some breakfast, read the news, relaxed a bit, and started packing for going home to my mum for christmas.
I walk down to the storage room to get my suitcases, and see that one of the doors is open. Happily strolling down the room, I suddenly realize that it’s the door to my storage area that’s open. It took a couple of seconds before I realized what had happened.. Someone has broken in.. The lock has been broken off with a large screwdriver, which was lying on the floor, clever criminals here in Norway huh? Unfortunately there’s not much point in calling the cops, since they don’t investigate into thefts of value less than 10000NOK.
It’s very obvious why they chose our storage area to break into; I had lots of empty (and some full) boxes from all my gadgets and computer stuff. They have left behind all the clothes, shoes, books, etc that was down there, at least as far as I can tell. What they have stolen, again as far as I can tell:
- An old PC
- A USB hub
- Boxes for different stuff, e.g. my new monitor
- A wireless network card
I’m really quite pissed off right now, not so much because what I’ve lost is of great value, but more because of the inconvenience of having to run to the nearest hardware store to get a new lock for the door instead of relaxing at home before starting christmas celebration.
So merry christmas to everyone, and especially to you who stole my stuff. Hope you got a good price for it.
*deep breath* Alright, time to get over this and move on, no point in letting some lowlife criminals ruin my christmas..

DAMN!, bad luck man… Well you found another crime that should have some form of punishment…
Build the brigde bro – and get over it! Nevertheless – I guess you have never had a shared shed area before!\r\n\r\nYou\’re lucky they where empty boxes my friend, but stacking boxes like that in a shared environment is like asking for trouble!\r\n\r\nStill as you say – dont let some stupid neighbour ruin your Christmas spirit! Have a nice trip home! /Christmas hug!
Well, I\’ve learned my lesson now… Never keep valuable stuff in shared storage areas!\r\n\r\nMerry christmas
While I thought somebody had stolen my Christmas spirit it was obviously out on its own stealing stuff. Shame on the Christmas spirit!\r\n\r\nSorry to hear that your storage area got broken into. Happens quite frequently in my building even if I have escaped so far (7,9,13 *knock on table*). \r\n\r\nI really hope you manage to forget about this and enjoy Christmas. Merry Christmas!!
