A water line in our apartment building sprung leak tonight… out of hundreds of storage areas down in the basement, about six were really damaged… guess whose storage area was one of them…
It’s gonna be a looooong night…….
It funny how you think \”I\’m glad that wasn\’t me. I can\’t remember last time I was so unlucky\” when you hear stories like this one… and in the next second when it happens to you, you feel jinxed. Someone up there is fucking with you – \”God damn it, why does this ALWAYS happen to me??\”.\r\n\r\nI\’m just glad that wasn\’t me. I can\’t remember last time I was so unlucky.\r\n\r\n;) For how long did you stay up to clean up your storage area?
Yeah, that\’s human nature I guess. I could have had the same thoughts myself – if I hadn\’t been so shocked and all – since my girlfriend\’s stuff was the most damaged… The worst part is that out of all her school-papers and -books (she\’s studying law, so she\’s got plenty of both), her books (that could have been replaced) were hardly damaged at all while her papers (written in blood and tears over the past 4 years) were completely ruined.\r\n\r\nI think I had about 4 hours of sleep, did what I could last night but will probably have to get a warm air fan or something to try to rescue what\’s left to rescue…
