“Blogging is good for you”, by Dr. Eirik
Gerdur mentioned in a blog post a while back that she thought blogging was good for her. I’m normally not very good at talking about my feelings at all, but for some reason it feels easier to just pour it all out through my keyboard. It’s probably pretty basic psychology that it’s easier to “talk about” your feelings when you don’t have to do it in an eye-to-eye conversation.
Now and then when I read blogs written by my colleagues, I realize that I’m not the only one. People that I know from work, who I have lunch with and go to the movies with but otherwise don’t know much about, can sometimes surprise me by sharing more of themselves than I thought they would – and they’re using the same valve as me to let out their feelings – blogging.
So I’m hereby adding evidence to Gerdur‘s thesis – blogging can be very therapeutic!
