Predicting the future….
People have always tried to predict the future, with varying luck (I don’t think anyone can really look into the future, so whenever someone actually makes a prediction that later turns out to be correct, I assume it’s luck). Consider this statement made by Kristian Wilson of Nintendo Inc. in 1989:
“Computer games don’t affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we’d all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.”
Anyone who has ever been to a rave-party can tell you that mr Wilson was wrong!
hehe, spot on dude!\r\n\r\nHopefully the next generation wont follow up on that, since todays kids play games like doom3, battlefield 1942 and so on….
BTW: nice comment system
Hehe, that would be a scary future…
\r\n\r\nThanks!
