Another trip to the dentist is over! Well, almost over at least. It hurts, it bleeds and I can’t eat properly. I hope everything will be ok on thursday, I’m going back for a check and removing the sutures.
I also discovered something interesting: the actual procedure of removing a wisdom tooth isn’t at all painful! At least not compared to paying the bill afterwards, that’s when the real pain sets in. So far, it has cost me 1750 NOK for the removal of the tooth, 280 NOK for changing the antibiotics-soaked thingy that he put in the giant cave where the tooth used to be (seriously, I hear an echo of my own voice from that hole when I talk), and about 100 NOK for drugs – all in all I’ve paid 2130 NOK for voluntarily causing myself pain. Isn’t that borderline masochistic? Well, except for the sexual part – believe me, there was nothing that even remotely resembled pleasure involved in this procedure. I didn’t even get a lollipop when I was done…
